Description
In this short 2 week Flute Introduction Course, you will learn how to disassemble and assemble your Flute body and head joint and some basic care and maintenance. Hopefully you will even discover how much you like doing repair!
Based on four years on Zoom classroom teaching, feedback and surveys, we have refined our approach to learning instrument repair – We now utilize a work and your own pace style of learning. Leveraging the power of Canvas LMS to provide learning at a pace everyone can achieve, allowing our students to watch the video and written content and attend Private Lessons, Live Classes (for level 1 and 2) and Work-Alongs as scheduled on the Canvas calendar throughout the course intake. There are no refunds offered once you have been enrolled.
Introduction course includes: 1 Private Lesson
- Your private lesson will be held on Zoom. The goal of the private lesson is to help inspire you to want to learn more after watching the videos in the modules section.
- Enrolling in the course is EASY as our enrollments are open for sign up anytime.
- For the course you will need supplies you will purchase locally as well as the supplies we will provide.
From Home Depot or your local hardware store you will need to purchase:
Dap Wildwood Contact Cement – 1 Container
Small soft brush for dusting
Emery boards for shaping corks
The rest of the items we will provide in our Flute Repair Starter Kit includes:
Sheet cork assortment (3.5″ x 1″ strips)
Pliers, flat nose, smooth jaws
Screwdriver, 2mm flat head
Screwdriver, 3mm flat head
Spring Hook
Key oil, Light viscosity
Last but not least, you will need to come with your own instrument to work on!
